This is the time of the year I wait for……. FALL is in the air! We love fall at Kavanaugh’s Resort and it is a great time to visit the Brainerd Lakes Area, with festivals, crisp weather, great fall colors and so much more, and it’s a little bit quieter than usual. Around the resort we stay very busy during the fall, of course we love having guests around, but all the while the activity is keeping us very busy. When summer ends our staff numbers pretty much disappear and that means that John, Mark, Dave, Tom, Vicki, Brenda, and of course Bob are pretty much covering the work load. There is a lot to do in the fall as well, grass keeps growing, docks and lake equipment needs to come out of the water, there is always painting to be done, irrigation lines need to be cleared, and maintenance, maintenance, maintenance!!!! But what’s great is we get to do all of this while enjoying Minnesota Fall and that is hard to beat, especially in the beautiful Brainerd/Nisswa area! It always amazes us why we don’t see more visitors during September and October as the crowds start to disappear and the rates take a nose-dive! To us it seems like the absolute best time for retired couples, families with pre-school aged children, or couples without children to come on up and enjoy the amazing weather and the fall colors. Golf is still in full swing (no pun intended) throughout the area, and of course we sit next door to The Legacy, The Classic and all Madden’s Golf Courses and even Grand View golf is just up the road. Nisswa is still hopping with “Pretty Good Shopping” and with our great craft brewer’s you can take in some Octoberfest fun.
